Dispatch360 at AggNexus: AI Meets Experience

Director of Marketing

Dispatch360 joins AggNexus 2026 as Bill Callahan Jr. and Tommy Oversmith connect with construction-materials leaders to discuss practical AI, smarter dispatch decisions, and the future of the workforce.
On Wednesday, skEYEwatch President & CEO Bill Callahan Jr. will join a panel on practical AI that dispatch teams can actually use. On Thursday, he will debate a conversational AI about whether hard-won operational experience can be replaced.
That makes AggNexus 2026 the right place for an important Dispatch360 conversation.
For ready-mix, aggregate, cement, and asphalt producers, the question is not whether technology will change dispatch. It already has. The real question is whether technology can help teams make better decisions without adding complexity, losing operational context, or taking control away from the people who understand the operation best.
Dispatch360 is built around that challenge. It brings dispatch, GPS visibility, e-ticketing, driver information, customer communication, and operational data together so teams can keep material moving with a clearer view of the day.
At AggNexus, Bill and Tommy Oversmith will be talking with producers, partners, and industry leaders about where construction-materials dispatch technology goes next. For Dispatch360, the conversation centers on practical AI, stronger operational visibility, and tools that help teams make better decisions throughout the day.
Practical AI
On Wednesday, September 16, Bill will join the panel, “Ditch the Spreadsheet: AI You’ll Actually Use,” from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in the Seminar Room.
The session is centered on practical, no-hype AI applications that people can put to work Monday morning. That is the right standard for dispatch technology.
Dispatchers do not need more hype. They need tools that help them make decisions when the schedule changes, a truck goes down, a driver is delayed, or a customer needs an answer now.
In construction-materials dispatch, one decision can affect the rest of the day. Orders, available trucks, driver schedules, plant capacity, delivery windows, jobsite conditions, and last-minute changes all compete for attention. The work moves quickly, and the best answer is rarely found by looking at only one piece of the operation.
That is where AI-powered dispatch optimization can be useful.
The goal is not to take dispatch out of the hands of the dispatcher. The goal is to help the dispatcher see more of the picture, evaluate better options, and respond with confidence. AI can process variables at speed. People understand the customer, the job, the driver, and the operational tradeoffs behind the data.
Bill will join Thomas Bergmans, CEO of INFORM EVOTESS; Håkan Holmgren, CEO of CheckProof; Barry Honig, President and CEO of TruckPay; and Matthew Jetmore, Owner of MEJ Consulting. The session will be moderated by Jeff Van Grootel, Director of Business Development at INFORM EVOTESS.
Experience Matters
On Thursday, September 17, Bill will take part in “Debate: The Workforce Apocalypse,” from 10:00 to 11:15 AM in the Seminar Room.
The debate is a head-to-head conversation about the future of the industry’s most valuable asset: its people.
Bill will represent Team Experienced alongside Ryan Penlerick, a CIM Professor at Texas State University. Their side will make the case for the value of seasoned judgment, loyalty, and the institutional knowledge built over years in the field and at the dispatch desk.
Across the discussion, Team Next Gen will include Kelsey Popolizio of Vulcan Materials Company, John Paul Koch of the Texas State University CIM Program, and Aggie from Burgex, a conversational AI.
The question is bigger than who will replace an experienced employee when they retire. It is whether the knowledge, grit, and institutional memory that operators develop over decades can survive the handoff at all.
Every producer has people whose knowledge does not live in a spreadsheet. They know which jobs regularly take longer than expected. They understand which routes look good on a map but create problems at certain times of day. They know when a small customer request will change the schedule for everyone else.
That experience is valuable because it is contextual. It is built through thousands of real decisions, often under pressure.
Technology can help capture more of that operational knowledge, make it easier to share across teams, and give newer employees stronger decision support as they learn the business. But a system is only as useful as the people who understand when to trust it, when to adjust it, and when the operation calls for a different answer.
And yes, Bill will be debating an AI during the session. We are looking forward to seeing how that conversation goes.
Smarter Dispatch
Dispatch360 has always been built around one idea: dispatch works better when the information teams need is connected.
For ready-mix, aggregate, cement, and asphalt operations, dispatch is not separate from the rest of the business. It connects orders, trucks, drivers, plant activity, e-ticketing, GPS visibility, customer communication, and the decisions that keep material moving.
When those pieces are disconnected, teams spend too much time searching for answers, updating separate systems, and reacting to information that arrives too late. When they work together, dispatchers have a clearer view of the day and more time to focus on what matters.
That is also why the Dispatch360 team is excited to be attending AggNexus alongside INFORM EVOTESS. EVOTESS brings decades of experience in optimization for building-materials logistics, helping operations evaluate schedules and adapt to changes as the day unfolds.
The approach aligns with what we believe at Dispatch360: technology should support the people running the operation. Dispatchers should remain in control, with the ability to review recommendations, apply their experience, and make the final call.
We are looking forward to exploring what stronger optimization can mean for Dispatch360 customers as our work with INFORM EVOTESS progresses. We will share more as plans and product details are ready to be announced.

AggNexus brings producers, technology providers, and industry leaders together for direct conversations about the challenges facing construction materials today. For the Dispatch360 team, that makes it the right place to discuss the next chapter of dispatch technology: practical AI, better visibility, and experienced people making better decisions.
If you are attending AggNexus, find Bill Callahan Jr. or Tommy Oversmith during the event. We would welcome the opportunity to talk about the realities of dispatch, the pressure facing operations, and what useful technology should look like in the field.
If you are not in Austin, follow Dispatch360 on LinkedIn. We will share takeaways from both sessions, including what we learn about practical AI, workforce change, and whether Bill can win an argument against an AI.
